SMEL.' Mademoiselle is a budget take on Chanel's modern classic, Coco Mademoiselle. The opening blends orange, mandarin and bergamot into a bright, sticky citrus that closely echoes the original's fruity-chypre entrance. The heart of rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang delivers a soft floral bouquet in line with the real fragrance, though with a touch less complexity. The base is where the two diverge most: patchouli, vetiver, vanilla and white musk aim for Coco Mademoiselle's famous citrus-patchouli backbone, but the patchouli here is lighter and less structured, missing the depth that reviewers describe as the key to the original's lasting appeal. It fades to a clean skin scent sooner than the original's reported 8-10 hours.
