About ATon

ATon is an independent natural perfumery founded in 2022 by Russian-born perfumer Anton Gerasimov, younger step-brother of Russian Adam of Areej Le Doré. Before launching his own line, Gerasimov made his first public appearance in perfumery with the composition Manly for Areej Le Doré in 2021, a collaboration with his brother that set the stage for his later work under the ATon name.

The brand debuted on March 26, 2022 with a trio of fragrances: Roxbury, Patchouli Lave and Bright Lights (often stylized The BrighT LighTs), presented as hand-blended creations based on high quality natural oils. Subsequent releases such as Animalia, Oud Callistus, Murasakino, Eastern Fairytale, Muscaline and Kinamo have expanded the range while keeping production small scale and studio-based, with limited runs that are distributed through select online retailers and boutiques. Several retailers and directories describe ATon explicitly as an American natural perfumery brand, reflecting its strong presence in the US market and focus on minimally processed materials.

Core to the brand’s identity is a preference for rich, complex compositions made from natural essences, often with prominent woods, resins, florals and animalic accords. Reviews and writeups emphasize an artisanal approach, where each release is positioned as an individual statement rather than part of a mass-produced catalog. The combination of small-batch production, direct engagement with niche fragrance audiences, and a continuing emphasis on natural ingredients has given ATon a clear profile among aficionados looking for characterful, sometimes challenging scents that differ from mainstream designer output.

Brand Evolution

ATon started with a focused trio in 2022 that showcased patchouli, woods and bright aromatics, establishing the founder’s preference for natural density and textural richness. In the following years the catalog broadened toward more varied themes, adding florals, oriental profiles and stronger animalic facets while retaining the core natural-oil signature. Retail partnerships in markets such as Ghana and Russia indicate a gradual move from purely direct-to-consumer launches to a more structured niche distribution network. Despite this growth, production has remained limited, with the brand still centered on small studio batches and incremental releases rather than rapid seasonal collections.

Quick Verdict

ATon is a serious choice for people who enjoy natural-heavy, high-impact niche perfumes and are willing to trade mainstream polish for character and intensity. If you prefer clean, easy office scents, this house will feel demanding and occasionally too forceful.
