Jorum Studio

Jorum Studio is an independent niche fragrance brand founded in Scotland in 2019 by perfumer Euan McCall and designer Chloe Mullen. The brand is based in Edinburgh and grew out of McCall’s earlier business, Jorum Laboratories, which he established in 2009 to formulate and manufacture perfumes for other clients. In 2016, McCall and Mullen began running Jorum together, and three years later they launched Jorum Studio as their own creative platform.

All Jorum Studio fragrances are designed and manufactured in-house in Scotland, giving the small team full control over formula, sourcing, and production. The brand emphasizes high quality raw materials and treats each collection as a self-contained concept, often developed in dialogue with artists and craftspeople who respond to the themes of the perfumes. Their work is strongly rooted in Scottish geography and culture: the team spends time in woodlands, peat bogs, and along the coastline gathering scent references from the local environment.

Collections such as Scottish Odyssey translate specific locations into scent, for example Rose Highland, inspired by Buachaille Etive Mor in Glencoe, and Healing Berry, which references the Valley of Strathmore. These compositions mix familiar notes like rose, blackcurrant, basil, and heather with more unusual, textured accords that highlight mineral, saline, and herbal facets. Across the line, Jorum Studio’s focus is on wearable but experimental compositions that add something new to contemporary niche perfumery while consciously spotlighting Scotland as a serious center for fragrance creation.
