Vegetal milk translates the French 'lait végétal', the general term for a milk made from a plant rather than an animal. No fragrance house sells a material under this name. It is an accord a perfumer builds, usually from lactones for the creamy body. Two perfumes list it. Pierre Guillaume used it in 17 Tubéreuse Couture in 2006, and Olivier Durbano used it in Lapis-lazuli in 2016. Neither perfumer published what went into it.

Usage in Perfumery

Parfumo lists 2 perfumes from 2 brands, files the note under Milk and places it in the heart. The two uses differ. In 17 Tubéreuse Couture it sits with tuberose, cane sugar and benzoin, and reviewers read the result as milky and coconut-like. In Lapis-lazuli it sits with thyme, spelt and iris, and one reviewer reads it as green and sappy, close to fig milk. Both uses treat it as body, not as a headline.
