It's an immediately recognisable nod to Tom Ford's Bitter Peach, though the fruit here is played sweeter and simpler than the original's more bitter, nuanced peach accord. The heart brings in rum-soaked davana and a smooth cognac facet for a boozy warmth, with a touch of jasmine adding floral lift. The base is where Alexandria's Extrait concentration does its best work - creamy sandalwood, vanilla and tonka bean sit alongside vetiver and patchouli for a resinous, lasting finish, even if it lacks some of the original's textured complexity.
