Where it falls short is complexity: Aventus builds a layered, almost savoury smokiness through its birch and ambergris that keeps evolving for hours, while Brasilia 13zz01's version settles quickly into a simpler patchouli-oakmoss-musk base that reads flatter and less refined. Longevity is the biggest gap reviewers flag - expect five to six hours of clear presence against Aventus's reputation for lasting most of a day. As an entry point to the fruity-chypre category, or for anyone who wants the vibe without the price, it does the job convincingly for the opening act, less so for the finish.
