Amber De Nuit follows Dior Ambre Nuit's rose-and-amber blueprint closely: pink pepper and rose open it, amber and patchouli build the heart, and sandalwood and vanilla settle into the base. The rose is well rendered and gives the fragrance an immediately recognisable elegance. Where this dupe falls short of the original is texture - Ambre Nuit's amber has a genuinely velvety, almost resinous depth thanks to its patchouli-sandalwood interplay, while this version is thinner and sweeter, trading some of that noble weight for an easier, more universally wearable warmth. Longevity is decent though projection softens after the first couple of hours, settling into a pleasant close skin scent. A solid choice for anyone who wants the rose-amber elegance of Ambre Nuit for formal occasions without the Dior price tag.
