Aqua Pure interprets Issey Miyake's L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme, one of the defining clean-aquatic masculines and a genre staple since its 1994 launch. Yuzu, bergamot, tarragon and cypress open sharp and citrusy, a fair echo of the original's crisp freshness. Lotus, geranium, saffron and nutmeg build a slightly spiced heart, though it lacks the almost weightless transparency that makes the original feel so effortless. The cedar, vetiver, sandalwood and tobacco base gives Aqua Pure noticeably more body and warmth than Issey Miyake's airier dry-down, and because it's built as a 35% extrait rather than an EDT, it actually holds on skin longer than the original does. That trade-off, more presence but less of that signature weightlessness, makes it a solid daily-wear aquatic rather than a precise recreation, appealing most to anyone who wants the L'Eau d'Issey character with a bit more staying power.
