Sablée takes on Louis Vuitton's Les Sables Roses, leading with a rose and saffron opening that quickly warms into an amber and patchouli heart with real velvety depth. The oud, musk and vanilla base is where it earns its resemblance to the original, staying sensual and warm rather than sharp, closer to a rose-amber gourmand than a traditional oud. It simplifies some of the original's more abstract, sand-like texture into a more straightforwardly cosy rose-amber composition, but the core warmth and elegance are there.
