BORNTOSTANDOUT Unholy Oud is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2022, created by Dora Baghriche. Unholy Oud opens with Bergamot, Lemon, and Incense, settles into a heart of Oud and Rose, and dries down to a base of Sandalwood, Patchouli, Rosewood, and Heliotrope. BORNTOSTANDOUT's Unholy Oud carries an Acquired verdict, a woody-led wear.

This one's a proper head-scratcher. Unholy Oud is a divisive mix of sweet, citrus, and a rather 'unholy' petroleum-like oud that's got folks either completely baffled or absolutely raving. Definitely not a safe blind buy.

Showing: Overall Blend

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Fall Winter

Versatile across every season - no clear seasonal preference from wearers.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date
Also Works:
Casual Formal

Its long-lasting, moderate sillage makes it a bit much for the office, but perfect for a date where you want to make an impression. The intriguing blend of sweet and smoky notes allows it to flex for both casual evenings and more dressed-up events, though it's too heavy for sport.

About

Opens with a zesty, almost candied lemon and bergamot, quickly joined by a smoky incense. The heart reveals a soft, almost 'not-funky' oud paired with delicate rose, reminiscent of Turkish delight. As it settles, a creamy blend of vanilla, tonka bean, and sandalwood emerges, balanced by earthy patchouli and a touch of heliotrope, creating a surprisingly multifaceted, almost gourmand-leaning dry down.
