Labdanum leads the way with a resinous, slightly orange-tinged warmth, echoing the quiet, short-lived opening of Grand Soir. Lavender and benzoin move through the heart, adding a soft aromatic edge to what is fundamentally an amber-forward fragrance from the very first spray. The base builds on amber, vanilla and tonka bean for a smooth, glowing finish that recalls the original's famous vanilla-amber accord, without quite reaching its depth or radiance over a full evening.
