Cali-for-Sniff Ya leans on the same citrus-forward opening that defines Louis Vuitton's California Dream, mandarin orange and juicy pear brightened with a touch of lime rather than the original's bergamot lift, close enough that the two are easy to mistake for each other in the first minutes. Neroli and ambrette carry the heart in both versions, giving that soft, slightly animalic warmth California Dream is known for, though this take adds an unusual sea-salted spice note the LV original doesn't feature, nodding more literally to the beach-holiday concept. The base lines up well too - benzoin and musk doing much the same job as the original's benzoin-moss combination, finished with a touch of sheer amber for extra warmth. Altogether a fair, sunny match for the mood and most of the notes, with just enough of its own character to feel distinct rather than a straight copy.
