Duppe Scents Amber-lievable is an Eau de Parfum. Amber-lievable opens with Bergamot, Orange Blossom, and Cinnamon, settles into a heart of Vanilla and Tonka Bean, and dries down to a base of Musk, Amber, and Guaiac Wood. Duppe Scents's Amber-lievable carries a Favourite verdict, a vanilla-led wear.

Amber-lievable captures Parfums de Marly Althair's cinnamon-vanilla-amber signature reasonably well, though it swaps the original's praline and elemi facets for a plainer tonka bean and creamy woods combination, so the gourmand warmth is there but without quite the same luminous, spiced complexity.

About

Amber-lievable opens gently, a soft citrus and cinnamon combination standing in for Althair's orange blossom-bergamot-cinnamon opening, close in spirit if a touch more subdued. Vanilla carries the heart in both versions, and that's where the resemblance is strongest, though this take adds tonka bean rather than the original's elemi, which gives Althair some of its resinous, slightly citrusy lift. The base is where the two diverge most: Althair's signature is a praline-guaiacwood-ambrox combination that reads as luminous and faintly smoky at once, while Amber-lievable settles for a more conventional amber, musk and creamy woods finish. It still lands in recognisably similar territory, warm, sweet and comforting, just with less of the original's distinctive resinous shimmer. A softer, more approachable take on the same gourmand-woody idea.
