No.614 takes on one of perfumery's most storied and difficult compositions - the original 1947 Miss Dior - opening with sharp green galbanum and aldehydes before a dense floral heart of iris, narcissus, jasmine and rose unfolds. The base leans into oakmoss, vetiver, patchouli and labdanum, aiming for that classic leather-chypre foundation that made the original so revered. Given the real Miss Dior relies on ingredients now heavily restricted (oakmoss concentration, animal-derived musks, vintage tuberose absolute), any modern reinterpretation faces real limits, and this vegan version is no exception - it reads a touch flatter and less resinous than a well-preserved vintage bottle, with the green facets more prominent than the deep, slightly dirty leather undertone collectors chase. Still, for a fraction of the cost of hunting down an original-formula bottle, it offers a genuine taste of that nostalgic, old-world chypre character. Best suited to those who appreciate classic, vintage-leaning perfumery over modern fruity-florals, and who want a formal, evening-appropriate scent with real presence.
