About

CD44 opens on a sharp, resinous citrus accord - lemon, grapefruit and bergamot brightened with elemi resin - that gives the same energetic first impression as the original Dior Homme Sport. Ginger, vetiver and cedar carry a spicy-green middle before the scent settles into lavender, sandalwood and rosemary. This dupe's citrus opening is louder and slightly sharper than Dior's more polished blend, and the drydown is a little thinner and less creamy, losing some of the original's sandalwood smoothness. Still, the overall freshness-to-woody arc is well preserved, and this is a genuinely useful everyday citrus fragrance for anyone who likes the classic Dior Homme Sport formula. Performance is moderate, suiting daytime and active wear rather than evening use.
