About

CH301 opens with lavender, rosemary, neroli and petitgrain, echoing Platinum Egoiste's fresh aromatic top, before a geranium, clary sage, galbanum and jasmine heart, closing on oakmoss, vetiver, cedar, sandalwood and amber. It's a decent attempt at one of Chanel's most distinctive discontinued-then-relaunched men's fragrances, keeping the crisp, green-aromatic character intact. The galbanum-oakmoss combination reads softer here, missing some of the original's sharp, almost metallic freshness that gives Platinum Egoiste its cult following among enthusiasts.
