VR25 chases Spicebomb's grenade-shaped signature: pink pepper, bergamot and grapefruit detonating into cinnamon, saffron and paprika, before settling on tobacco, leather and vetiver. The spicy top accord - the part everyone remembers about Spicebomb - is well represented here and hits hard in the opening. The base is where the gap shows: Spicebomb's smoky tobacco-leather drydown has real weight and lasts for hours, while this version's base is comparatively thin and settles into a simple woody-vetiver finish sooner than expected. A fun way to try the spicy-masculine style cheaply, best topped up through the day.
