Espresso Rum Cacao is a coffee gourmand with a boozy, spiced edge. Juliet Rose describes a warm black coffee shot with hints of cinnamon and spices over a deep base of dark rum, burnt sugar and cacao, and sells it as a truly unisex dark coffee scent. It opens with bay rum and a little cream. The heart is where the rum sits, with caramel, cinnamon, muscovado sugar and dried fruit. The base is coffee and cacao, held in place by vanilla, tonka, benzoin, clove and nutmeg. It is mysterious and a little sexy, and it mellows as the day goes on. It is assertive in both staying power and reach, so a little goes a long way. A small amount works better than a heavy hand, and it is a lot for a quiet office.
