MATCH Perfumes Santal 33 - No.19 is an Eau de Parfum. Santal 33 - No.19 opens with Violet and Cardamom, settles into a heart of Papyrus, Ambrox Super, and Iris, and dries down to a base of Leather, Cedar, and Sandalwood. MATCH Perfumes's Santal 33 - No.19 carries an Acquired verdict, a woody-led wear.

Match Perfumes No.19 dupes Le Labo's Santal 33, a smoky-woody cult classic. The violet-cardamom opening is a fair echo, but the iris-ambrox heart is less resinous and the cedar-leather base wears thinner and shorter than the original's dense, near-eternal woody trail.

About

No.19 opens with a soft violet accord brightened by cardamom, giving a reasonable nod to Santal 33's understated, spice-tinged introduction. The heart brings iris, papyrus and ambrox together for a smooth, slightly powdery woody core that recalls the original's signature sandalwood-leather blend, though it comes across a touch flatter and less layered. Cedar, leather and sandalwood round out the base, delivering a warm, musky finish similar in shape to the designer scent, but the projection and longevity fall well short of Santal 33's famous all-day, room-filling presence. It captures the cult favourite's smooth, unisex woody character convincingly enough for casual and office wear, and the dry-down is genuinely pleasant, even if it settles into a quieter, shorter-lived version of the original's iconic trail.
