Match Perfumes' No.7 leads with the same juicy pineapple-and-blackcurrant burst that made Creed's Aventus a modern icon, and for the first 30-60 minutes it's a genuinely convincing echo. The heart brings jasmine and patchouli in reasonable proportion, though it lacks the polish and blending finesse of the original's fruity-smoky chypre structure. The real gap opens at the base: Aventus's signature smoky birch is toned down to a generic woody musk here, and the ambergris-oakmoss depth that gives the original its quiet-confidence dry-down is largely absent. Where the real thing can hold 8-12 hours on skin and days on clothing, this dupe settles into a light skin scent within 3-4 hours. A fair everyday alternative for the opening notes alone, but not a substitute for anyone chasing the full Aventus experience.
