Oakcha Saffron Citadel is an Extrait de Parfum launched in 2026. Saffron Citadel opens with Hazelnut, Frankincense, and Pear, settles into a heart of Jasmin Sambac, Rose, Osmanthus, and Saffron, and dries down to a base of Akigalawood, Sandalwood, Vanilla, and Labdanum. Oakcha's Saffron Citadel carries an Acquired verdict, a musk-led wear.

A golden incense scent with saffron, osmanthus and rose over a deep labdanum and sandalwood base. Oakcha's take on Amouage Guidance, rich, formal and best on cool evenings.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Saffron Citadel feels like entering a candlelit hall. It opens with frankincense, pear and hazelnut. The incense gives a clean, smoky glow, while pear and hazelnut add a mellow, nutty sweetness that softens the first impression. The heart is the centre of the scent. Saffron gives a leathery, honeyed spice, osmanthus brings apricot-like warmth, rose adds richness and jasmine sambac opens the bouquet with a heady sweetness. The base is dense and long. Labdanum is the main voice, dark and resinous, with sandalwood and vanilla smoothing it and ambergris and akigalawood adding a salty, woody lift. At 30 percent extrait strength it is powerful, so one or two sprays are enough. It fills a room without feeling sharp. This is a fragrance for autumn and winter, for weddings, formal dinners and special evenings. It also works well for anyone who enjoys incense and Middle Eastern-style amber. Bottom line: a regal saffron and incense amber with serious depth and a very long finish.
