Dunhill London - Desire Perfume Oil is One Pure Drop's interpretation of Alfred Dunhill's Desire Blue, the popular early-2000s fresh fougere that built a loyal following on its clean citrus-aromatic profile at an accessible price point. The oil opens with a bright lemon, bergamot and mandarin burst, moving into a lavender heart softened by jasmine and a touch of nutmeg spice, before settling on a musk-cedar-amber base. The overall shape tracks the designer original closely, which is a fairly linear, easy-to-wear fresh fougere rather than anything complex, so the oil format does not lose much structural detail. What it does lose is punch: without alcohol to carry the citrus top notes outward, the opening reads softer and less sparkling than a spray, and the aromatic lavender-musk dry-down sits much closer to the skin. Longevity runs four to six hours on the wrist with light, personal-space projection throughout. It works well as a genuinely wearable everyday scent for anyone who liked the original Desire Blue's clean, uncomplicated character but wants an alcohol-free, budget-friendly way to wear it day to day rather than for special occasions where more projection is wanted.
