Chrome Legend updates Azzaro's original Chrome with a fruitier, more modern edge, and green apple is the note this One Pure Drop oil leans into hardest. The apple and bitter orange opening is vivid and immediately recognisable, arguably louder and sweeter than the original's more balanced fruity-aromatic blend. The tea and sea-spray facet that gives Chrome Legend its freshness is present but understated, and the tonka-cedar-amber base is simpler and less textured than the real fragrance's moss-and-vetiver-tinged finish. The overall effect is still fresh and easy to wear, just more one-dimensionally fruity than the original's layered composition. Good as a quick, inexpensive daily scent for warm weather - the oil format keeps it discreet rather than the diffusive spray original.
