Pearl Fragrances Barakkat Rouge is an Extrait de Parfum. Barakkat Rouge opens with Saffron and Almond, settles into a heart of Cedar and Jasmine, and dries down to a base of Woody, Musk, and Ambergris. Pearl Fragrances's Barakkat Rouge carries a Statement verdict, an amber-led wear.

Barakkat Rouge is Pearl Fragrances' version of Fragrance World's own Barakkat Rouge 540, itself a clone of Maison Francis Kurkdjian's Baccarat Rouge 540, and it keeps the saffron-almond-amber shape while dropping a further layer of polish.

About

Barakkat Rouge is Pearl Fragrances' Extrait de Parfum take on Fragrance World's Barakkat Rouge 540, one of the best-known clones of Maison Francis Kurkdjian's Baccarat Rouge 540 and itself a bestseller within the dupe-fragrance world. The opening chases the same saffron-and-bitter-almond accord that gives the Fragrance World version its jammy, slightly powdery sweetness, though the balance here is simpler and less refined, with the almond note pushed a touch louder to compensate for a thinner overall composition. Jasmine and cedar make up a brief floral-woody heart, standing in for the more mineral, ambergris-forward middle that both the Fragrance World clone and the MFK original are known for. The base is where the resemblance holds up best: ambergris, woody notes, and musk combine into a familiar warm, ambery-sweet drydown, though it fades faster and projects less than Fragrance World's own version, which already trades some of the original's famous longevity for affordability. The result sits a further step down the value chain: a recognisable, warm amber-saffron scent for a fraction of even a budget dupe's price, with correspondingly less richness and staying power. It works as an easy, inexpensive way to wear the shape of this now-ubiquitous fragrance family for a night out or a date.
