Delina takes on Parfums de Marly's viral rose fragrance, a modern phenomenon built around a patented Givaudan molecule called Petalia that gives the original its uniquely diffusive, neon rose. Pearl Fragrances can't replicate that captive ingredient, so this version leans instead on a straightforward lychee-rhubarb opening pushed bright and sweet, followed by a simplified rose-peony heart. It's recognisably in the same family - fruity, floral, sweet - but without Petalia's fizzy lift, the rose here reads flatter and doesn't fill a room the way Delina's fans expect. The cashmeran-vetiver-caramel base that gives the original its long, cosy finish is thinned into a plainer vanilla-musk-caramel blend that fades faster. For anyone drawn to Delina's pink-bottle glamour and juicy rose concept without the budget for the real thing, this captures the mood; it just can't chase the exact effect that made the original a cultural moment.
