This oil replicates the loud, sweet character convincingly - lavender and cardamom open with real punch, and the tonka-vanilla base is generous from early on, which suits the original's already-maximalist personality. The trade-off is texture: the iris and geranium that give the real Le Male Le Parfum its slightly powdery, tailored finish are reduced to a faint suggestion, leaving the composition feeling more one-note sweet than genuinely structured. Sandalwood in the base adds some warmth but not much woody dryness to balance the vanilla.
