Musk Safi

Musk Safi translates roughly as pure or clear musk, and it's a name attached to white-musk attars across many brands rather than a copy of a single fragrance - the most commercially prominent version comes from an established attar house, but formulations vary widely between sellers. Pearl's take is a simple, unfussy composition: a brief lily of the valley opening gives way almost immediately to a rich white musk, which is really the whole point of the fragrance, and the sandalwood, amber and vanilla base adds warmth without pulling focus from the musk itself. There's little top-to-base development here, and that's by design - this is meant to read as a single, cohesive musk accord rather than a multi-stage perfume. It's soft rather than sharp, and warmer than the crisper aquatic musks found elsewhere in Pearl's range, closer to a skin-scent musk than a clean laundry one.
