Silver Mountain Water

Silver Mountain Water follows Creed's 1995 classic, famous for its sharp, almost metallic bergamot-blackcurrant opening that reviewers variously describe as a mountain stream or a fresh ballpoint pen. Pearl Fragrances captures that tart citrus-fruit blast reasonably well as an opening note, keeping the fragrance's identity recognisable in the first ten minutes. The green tea heart that Creed built the middle of the fragrance around - often compared to a steamy cup of Earl Grey - is present but weaker, and the already-subtle sandalwood-musk base that reviewers note is one of the original's genuine weak points is thinned out even further here. Where Creed's version manages four to eight hours depending on skin chemistry, this dupe tends to fade within an hour or two. It's a fair, if fleeting, taste of the original's famous cold, clean citrus-tea character.
