Avalanche Aqua opens fresh and zesty with mandarin, green apple and pineapple lifted by a spicy crackle of ginger, pink pepper and cool mint, faithfully echoing the breezy character of Aventus Cologne. The heart turns lightly woody with vetiver, sandalwood and patchouli, keeping things clean rather than smoky. The base of soft musk, a touch of tonka, birch and styrax rounds it off warm but understated. As a dupe of an already-light original it sits comfortably close to the skin with moderate longevity, the projection gentle from the start.
