Excusable For Women

Perfume Parlour Excusable For Women is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2006. Excusable For Women opens with Orange, Bergamot, Neroli, and Grapefruit, settles into a heart of Jasmine, Lily Of The Valley, Freesia, and Cyclamen, and dries down to a base of Coconut, Vanilla, Amber, and Tonka Bean. Perfume Parlour's Excusable For Women carries a Favourite verdict, a floral-led wear.

Excusable copies Sean John's Unforgivable Woman - that fruity-citrus opening blooming into white florals over a soft woody-vanilla base. The dupe captures the radiant fruity-floral character but reads flatter and busier, with shorter longevity than the original.

About

Excusable is Perfume Parlour's take on Sean John's Unforgivable Woman, a glamorous fruity-floral. It opens bright and juicy with orange, bergamot, neroli, grapefruit, blackcurrant and apple, lifted by a fresh cucumber edge and orange flower. The heart blooms into a soft floral bouquet of jasmine, lily of the valley, freesia and cyclamen, before a generous base of vanilla, amber, tonka, sandalwood, cedar, oakmoss, patchouli, vetiver and iris with a coconut-tinged coco de mer gives a warm, woody-sweet drydown. As a budget interpretation it captures the radiant, feminine fruity-floral character, but the packed composition reads flatter and a touch muddled compared with a polished designer, and the projection and longevity fall short. A pretty, romantic feminine for dates, the office and daytime wear.
