Floating Piece For Women

Perfume Parlour Floating Piece For Women is an Eau de Parfum launched in 1995. Floating Piece For Women opens with Bergamot, Lemon, Peach, and Basil, settles into a heart of Jasmine, Rose, Lily Of The Valley, and Ylang-Ylang, and dries down to a base of Amber, Musk, Sandalwood, and Cedar. Perfume Parlour's Floating Piece For Women carries a Favourite verdict, a floral-led wear.

A budget take on Iceberg Twice for Women. The dewy lily-of-the-valley and peach over a soft musk-and-orris base captures the original's clean, limpid floral charm; this dupe reads slightly flatter and thinner than Iceberg's airy original, with shorter wear.

About

Floating Piece chases Iceberg Twice, that easy floral-aquatic from the mid-nineties. It opens bright and a little green with bergamot, lemon and a soft peach, a whisper of basil and galbanum giving it a fresh-cut lift. The heart is a transparent bouquet - dewy lily of the valley, rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang threaded with powdery orris root - the kind of limpid floral that drifts rather than announces. The drydown settles onto a soft, slightly powdery base of musk, blonde woods, amber and a touch of oakmoss for a clean trail. Where the original is light and airy with moderate four-to-six-hour wear, this dupe renders the flowers a touch flatter and more synthetic, and gives up some of the powdery refinement of the orris, sitting closer to the skin after a couple of hours. It is still a pretty, unfussy spring-and-summer floral - a recognisable, easygoing budget stand-in for Iceberg Women, gentler in projection.
