Mexican Oak

Perfume Parlour Mexican Oak is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2016. Mexican Oak opens with Pink Pepper, Lemon, Bergamot, and Petitgrain, settles into a heart of Cedar, Geranium, and Cardamom, and dries down to a base of Oakmoss, Patchouli, and Tonka Bean. Perfume Parlour's Mexican Oak carries a Favourite verdict, a woody-led wear.

Perfume Parlour's budget version of Acqua di Parma Colonia Quercia, that classy citrus-woody cologne. It captures the bergamot-cardamom opening and the mossy, woody base, just rendered flatter and with the original's premium oakmoss richness simplified.

About

This is Perfume Parlour's budget interpretation of Acqua di Parma Colonia Quercia, an elegant woody-spicy take on the Colonia DNA. It opens bright and refined - lemon, bergamot and rosy petitgrain lifted by a peppery pink-pepper sparkle. The heart brings warmth and structure with cardamom, vibrant geranium and starchy cedar, that muted citrus-peel quality the original carries beautifully. The base is where Quercia earns its name: a thick, lichen-rich oakmoss grounded by earthy patchouli and soft tonka. The original is praised for its quality oakmoss and 7-to-8-hour longevity; the dupe keeps the citrus-to-moss arc but renders the oakmoss thinner and less elegant, with the woods simplified and wear pulled in close. For an inexpensive, grown-up citrus-woody that nods to an Italian house, it captures the autumnal-forest mood for the money.
