Pure Liquid opens cold and bright: bergamot and mandarin with a crisp, almost metallic sparkle, the same crisp-air entry that defines Silver Mountain Water. The heart carries the famous combination of green tea and tart blackcurrant with a thread of jasmine, giving that polarising 'blackcurrant on ice' character - fresh, green and slightly inky. The base settles into green galbanum, clean musk, soft sandalwood and a touch of petitgrain, keeping the dry-down light and unobtrusive. Against the genuine Creed it is less refined and less avant-garde: the unique metallic edge is muted, the blackcurrant a touch more candied, and projection stays polite, turning skin-close within a few hours. Still, the cool, clean, sophisticated freshie mood comes through faithfully. It trades the original's strange character and refinement for budget value, an easy, versatile warm-weather scent for the office, casual days and even sport.
