Sand Ritual opens warm and boozy: a sophisticated whiskey accent threaded with coriander, mandarin, a savoury whisper of sesame and a touch of anise - a spicy, slightly liqueur-soaked start true to its inspiration. The heart turns deliciously gourmand, with rich cacao folded into creamy sandalwood and velvety cashmeran. This follows Stephane Humbert Lucas 777's Sand Dance closely in structure - the same boozy-chocolate-to-creamy-woods arc - but where the original is famous for its atmospheric, seamlessly blended richness, this Perfume Parlour version renders the whiskey a touch sharper and more synthetic and the woods slightly flatter and less hypnotic. It sits close to the skin like the original, with respectable but not beast-mode longevity. The result is a cosy, sensual whiskey-cacao gourmand for cold-weather evenings, capturing the opulent mood of a pricey niche favourite at budget cost.
