Shiny Woman opens grand and floral with a rich rose, dewy lily-of-the-valley and a cool, smoky lift of frankincense - immediately opulent, if a little less commanding than the original. The heart blooms into jasmine, powdery orris and balsamic myrrh, creating a lush, sophisticated bouquet. A musky, powdery base of amber, sandalwood, cedar and a faint civet whisper grounds it. Against Amouage's Gold Woman, this dupe gets the regal rose-incense DNA and the lipstick-powdery elegance right, but the original's authoritative sillage and exceptional longevity are dialled back here, leaving a more intimate, skin-close wear. Longevity is moderate for the price. It remains a refined, mature floral best suited to formal occasions and cool-weather evenings, delivering much of the original's classic glamour at a budget price.
