Scentleys Nomad is an Extrait de Parfum. Nomad opens with Rose, settles into a heart of Jasmine and Raspberry, and dries down to a base of Woody, Musk, and Oud. Scentleys's Nomad carries an Acquired verdict, a oud-led wear.

Nomad puts the same rose-raspberry-oud accord LV built Ombre Nomade around front and centre, but Scentleys' oud reads more woody-generic than Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier's smoky, incense-tinged original, and the fruit-rose top note fades faster.

About

Nomad is Scentleys' extrait interpretation of Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade, the 2018 oud-centric release that became one of the house's most sought-after Les Extraits bottles. The dupe opens on a rose note meant to echo the original's fruity-floral lift, moving into a raspberry and jasmine heart that softens the smokiness before the oud takes over. The base is where Nomad puts its weight: oud and woody notes layered with a clean white musk, chasing the deep, resinous, almost incense-like oud LV is known for in this release. The rose-raspberry opening is a fair approximation for the first hour, sweet and slightly tart in a way that recognisably nods to the original's fruit-floral entry point. Where Nomad falls short is the oud itself, which reads more like a generic woody-amber base than the smoky, almost leathery, genuinely oud-forward material in the LV original - the dupe's dry-down is pleasant but noticeably simpler. Performance is strong for an oil-based extrait, six to eight hours with the woody base lingering well after the fruit-rose top has faded. Good for wearers who want an affordable everyday introduction to the oud-rose genre without the original's premium price or its more complex smoky depth.
