Megatron

Megatron opens with an electric citrus surge of lime, blood orange and bergamot, instantly crowned by a salty sea-salt musk accord that sets up the aquatic theme Orto Parisi's Megamare is famous for. The heart brings cypress and a sharp ozone facet, building a classified, green-tinged aquatic core that reads recognisably close to the original's ocean-spray concept. The base finishes with white musk, driftwood and a hint of ambergris, aiming for the clean, sea-foam trail Megamare is known for. Where it falls well short is intensity and originality: Megamare has a near-legendary reputation for beastly projection and a mineral, almost animalic salinity that makes it feel genuinely unique, while Megatron's version is noticeably softer, cleaner and more generic, settling into a pleasant but unremarkable musky-aquatic finish rather than anything commanding. It works well as an easy, wearable ocean-fresh scent for everyday use, just without the raw sillage that has made the niche original so cult-followed.
