Tea Rainfall follows the same gentle arc as Louis Vuitton's Rain Tea, opening with a bright wash of lemongrass and fresh citrus that immediately reads clean and calming. As with the original, the promised green tea note doesn't dominate - instead, a heart of magnolia and soft white florals takes over fairly quickly, giving the fragrance a more floral than herbal character overall. The base settles into light woods and a clean musk for a quiet, understated finish. This composition captures the tranquil, tea-ceremony mood of its inspiration reasonably well, though the performance is modest even by the modest standards of the original - expect a few hours of a soft, close-to-skin scent rather than a statement fragrance.
