Alexandria UK Tomcat is an Eau de Parfum. Tomcat opens with Pepper, Pink Pepper, and Elemi, settles into a heart of Saffron and Frankincense, and dries down to a base of Suede, Cedar, and Vanilla. Alexandria UK's Tomcat carries an Acquired verdict, a spicy-led wear.

Tomcat mirrors YSL Babycat's pepper-incense-suede-vanilla structure, but front-loads a much more aggressive pepper blast where the original leads with an accessible bourbon-vanilla sweetness, making Tomcat louder on skin and better suited to fabric.

About

Tomcat opens with an electric jolt of pink and black pepper softened by bright, resinous elemi, taking direct aim at YSL Babycat's signature spice-forward opening. A smoky frankincense and saffron heart carries into a suede base sweetened with bourbon vanilla and grounded by clean cedarwood. Where Babycat greets the skin with an immediately warm, accessible vanilla sweetness before its peppers and incense build, Tomcat inverts the balance - the pepper hits first and hardest, easing off only in the drydown as the incense and vanilla take over. That makes it read darker and more aggressive on skin but noticeably stronger on fabric and in the air, with genuinely excellent longevity that holds its own against the pricier original. A convincing, better-performing take for anyone chasing the suede-vanilla-incense niche category without the designer price tag.
