Addict Nior takes Dior Addict's mandarin-orange blossom-vanilla skeleton and simplifies it into a sweeter, more linear gourmand. The citrus opening is bright but brief, giving way quickly to a white-floral heart of orange blossom, jasmine sambac and tuberose that reads pleasant but flatter than the original's creamy, slightly boozy tuberose. The vanilla-tonka-sandalwood base is the strongest part of this dupe, arriving early and staying loud, which makes the whole composition feel sweeter and less refined than Dior's version. Projection is decent for an extrait but the seven-hour wear claim is closer to five in practice on drier skin. It's a fair pick for anyone who wants the sweet-vanilla-floral idea of Addict without the price, though purists who love the original's smoky-tuberose complexity will notice the gap.
