082 borrows Lancôme's Ô Oui pyramid nearly wholesale, right down to the water hyacinth and petitgrain opening most people wouldn't recognise as an unusual pairing outside this exact fragrance. The top is bright and multi-fruited - bergamot, clementine, nectarine, mandarin and a touch of vodka-like sharpness - and reads reasonably true to the source, if a little less transparent. The heart is the fragrance's best stretch, layering lily-of-the-valley, freesia, honeysuckle, green apple, rose and pineapple into a soft, youthful floral bouquet that captures Ô Oui's easy, optimistic femininity, even though it's a touch flatter and less dewy than the original's aquatic-floral sparkle. The base settles into water lily, musk, cedar and amber for a clean, unobtrusive finish, but it doesn't carry the same fresh lift through the day - expect the aquatic brightness to fade to a simple musk within a couple of hours. A pleasant, easy spring scent, closer to a suggestion of the original than a precise match.
