Blossom Perfumery 166 Joy is an Eau de Parfum. 166 Joy opens with Bergamot and Mandarin, settles into a heart of Rose, Jasmine, Peach, and Blackcurrant, and dries down to a base of Musk, Cedar, Sandalwood, and Patchouli. Blossom Perfumery's 166 Joy carries an Acquired verdict, a citrus-led wear.

Inspired by Dior Joy. The bergamot-rose-jasmine-sandalwood structure lands close on first spray, but No. 166 lacks the original's opulent floral density and its famous multi-hour trail.

About

No. 166 works from Dior Joy's formula: bergamot and mandarin up top, a rose and jasmine heart with blackcurrant leaf and peach, sandalwood, musk, patchouli and benzoin underneath. The opening is a decent approximation of Joy's bright, luxurious florals. Where it comes up short is richness and longevity - the original is built from an extravagant concentration of rose and jasmine absolutes that project for the better part of a day, while this dupe's floral heart softens into a plain sandalwood-musk within three hours, losing the opulence that made Joy a signature scent in the first place. A pleasant, affordable citrus-floral for daytime, but a much lighter-weight version of the real thing.
