Ya Blue Me Away opens on the same bright, juicy note as Ex Nihilo's Blue Talisman: pear layered over citrus and a snap of ginger, fresh without being sharp. That opening is a reasonably close match. Where the comparison gets harder is further in - Blue Talisman leans on Georgywood and Akigalawood, both proprietary synthetics designed to give a soft, woody-musky sheerness that no other house can license, alongside Ambrofix for lift. Nothing sold at this price point can fully reproduce that specific texture, so this version substitutes a more conventional musk, amber and cedar base. It still lands in the same fresh-woody-musky territory and carries the same understated, close-to-skin character the original is known for, just with less of the diffusive, slightly futuristic quality that makes Blue Talisman stand out among niche citrus-musk fragrances.
