Oud Save the Queen is the feminine counterpart in Atkinsons' Oud Collection, opening on Earl Grey tea and clove before unfolding into a rich jasmine-and-orange-blossom heart over a warm oud, tonka bean and guaiac wood base. Eden Perfumes' No.607 begins with bergamot and tea, a close enough echo of the original's opening to establish the same tea-tinged, slightly spiced first impression. The heart is where this dupe puts most of its effort, combining orange blossom, jasmine and rose into a lush white-floral bouquet that genuinely recalls the original's romantic, oriental-floral character, even if it reads a touch more generic and less precisely blended than Atkinsons' version. The base settles into oud, vanilla and tonka bean, delivering the warm, sweet, slightly smoky finish the original is known for, though without quite the same depth that comes from the guaiac wood in the real formula. Overall this is one of the more faithful renditions in Eden's oud range, capturing the shape of a genuinely well-regarded niche floral-oriental at a fraction of the price, even if the finer details of blending and longevity don't fully match the original.
