This Jubilee Scents take on Dior Sauvage opens with the same bergamot and pepper combination that made the original a modern classic, moving through Sichuan and pink pepper into a lavender-vetiver heart. The base leans on ambroxan, cedar and labdanum, chasing the smoky-fresh trail Sauvage is known for. It's a recognisable silhouette of the original at a tenth of the price, but the ambroxan doesn't project with the same clean radiance, and the overall performance sits closer and fades faster.
