1 Million Elixir Parfum Intense is one of Rabanne's richest gourmand releases, built around a tonka-vanilla base thick enough to divide opinion between fans who love the cake-like sweetness and critics who find it cloying. Jubilee's PR190 nails the base accord convincingly, with a comparable vanilla-tonka-patchouli finish that lasts well into the evening. The apple-davana top note is present but noticeably lighter than the original's crisper fruit-tea opening, and the damask rose heart, which gives the real thing its more sophisticated edge, is dialled down here in favour of straightforward sweetness. The result is a simpler, more one-dimensional gourmand than the original, but one that delivers the headline vanilla-cake character most buyers are actually chasing at this price point.
