Good Girl Attar

Good Girl Attar copies Carolina Herrera's stiletto-bottled bestseller, famous for opening with a striking almond-coffee-bergamot combination before a heady tuberose-jasmine heart takes over a dark, cocoa-tonka base. The oil version recreates that recognisable almond-and-white-floral pairing well up top, and tuberose stays present and creamy through the heart, giving it the same glamorous, slightly grown-up sweetness the original is known for. What it can't replicate is the contrast that makes Good Girl famous: the real fragrance is built on tension between a bright top and a genuinely dark, resinous cacao-tonka base that some wearers find intense. Here that base is softened considerably into a simple vanilla-tonka sweetness, losing the cacao's bitterness and much of the drama. Projection also stays much closer to the skin than the spray original's noted sillage. It is a pleasant, wearable almond-floral-vanilla oil rather than the bold statement scent Good Girl is known to be, but it captures the core idea at a fraction of the price.
