Noir Neroli

Perfume Parlour Noir Neroli is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2016. Noir Neroli opens with Petitgrain, Bergamot, Tangerine, and Lemon, settles into a heart of Tea, Neroli, Orange Blossom, and Smoke, and dries down to a base of Oakmoss, Vanilla, Myrrh, and Benzoin. Perfume Parlour's Noir Neroli carries a Favourite verdict, a citrus-led wear.

Noir Neroli interprets Guerlain's Neroli Outrenoir - that bright neroli-citrus shadowed by smoky tea. The dupe captures the smoked-tea-and-blossom contrast but renders it flatter and less luminous, with the resinous depth and longevity falling short of the niche original.

About

Noir Neroli takes aim at Guerlain's Neroli Outrenoir, the L'Art et la Matiere exclusive built on neroli confronting smoky tea. It opens with a vibrant citrus burst - petitgrain, bergamot, tangerine, lemon and grapefruit - bright and refined. The heart is the signature: elegant neroli and orange blossom layered with a smoky, earthy tea accord that gives a neo-Earl-Grey character and a flash of shadow. The base settles into oakmoss, vanilla, myrrh, benzoin and a soft musky ambrette for a quietly resinous drydown. As a budget version it tracks the original's clever light-and-dark contrast, but the smoke reads thinner and the whole thing feels less luminous and three-dimensional than Guerlain's masterful execution. Longevity is moderate where the original can run long. A sophisticated, versatile unisex pick for daytime and the office.
