Strangelove NYC Melt My Heart is a perfume oil launched in 2016, created by Christophe Laudamiel. Melt My Heart opens with Bergamot, Mandarin, Magnolia, and Ginger, settles into a heart of Absinth, Oud, and Nutmeg, and dries down to a base of Orris Butter, Musk, Sandalwood, and Clary Sage. Strangelove NYC's Melt My Heart carries a Statement verdict, a green-led wear.

Bergamot, mandarin and ginger over dark chocolate, oud, nutmeg and absinthe, settling onto orris butter, sandalwood and musk. Melt My Heart is a complex, contrasting oil that grows lovelier as it wears.

Top, heart and base are the pyramid as published, not a timing claim. Each note's timing follows its listed tier, where it usually sits across many published pyramids (from ScentPrism) and its vapour pressure. A note comes through as the notes usually listed before it fade, judged from how other pyramids order the same pair. The thickness of a ribbon shows the note's share of what is left on the skin, which tracks how strongly it smells, because odour thresholds rise with vapour pressure. The shares come from how prominent wearers vote each note. It is a simple model, not a measurement.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Autumn Winter

Dark chocolate, oud, nutmeg and orris are warm and deep, so autumn and winter suit it, and bergamot and mandarin give enough lift for spring.

Best Occasions

Also Works:
Date Formal

Expressive and complex, it is best for dates and evenings, and the citrus opening leaves room for casual wear. It is not made for sport.

About

Melt My Heart is a perfume oil from Strangelove NYC that starts with bergamot, ginger, mandarin, fennel, artemisia and magnolia. It is a bright, green and aromatic opening with a floral lift, and it frames the rest like a window frame. The heart is where the contrast lives. Oud, dark chocolate extract, nutmeg and absinthe sit together, so rich cocoa and spice meet a bitter, herbal edge. Orris butter, sandalwood, clary sage and musks finish it, the orris rooty and the sandalwood quiet, with a restrained, soft texture. Customers call it complex, beautiful and otherworldly, one says it buoys their mood and spirit, and another says it becomes more beautiful over time. Wear is moderate on every count, so it makes a presence without dominating. Cold months and evenings show it off, for dates and dressed-up nights, though the citrus opening leaves room for casual days and a little spring. It is more expressive than sporty.
