Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Also Works:
Fall Winter

The resinous incense and woods suggest cooler weather, while the small number of reviews does not establish a consensus season. The scores favour autumn and winter cautiously.

Best Occasions

Also Works:
Casual

Wearers describe a dry, quietly assertive incense and wood scent rather than a light or sporty style. Casual use is the clearest fit, with office and formal settings kept moderate because evidence is limited.

About

Build and Destroy is a woody, resinous Eau de Parfum created by Azzi Glasser with musician James Lavelle for the Mo’Wax Urban Archaeology project. The current brand page lists frankincense, myrrh and pimento with olibanum resin, blond woods and vetivert, followed by musk, wood molecules and oud. Parfumo’s record lists the same core materials alongside woody notes. Those unphased notes are kept in Core Notes rather than given an invented top, heart and base order. The available wearer accounts share a dry, restrained direction. A Parfumo reviewer connects its incense and wood to concrete, asphalt and urban dust, while another Basenotes reviewer calls the oud restrained and the blend neither sweet nor heavy. That reviewer also reports good longevity, but this is one assessment rather than a broad performance consensus. A 2020 first-person CIVILIAN article describes wearing a scent called Build and Destroy after a recommendation from the brand’s AI.zz perfume tool and says it felt confidence-giving. The article does not identify a bottle or concentration, so it is used only as a lower-weight character signal, not as evidence for the product format or performance. The brand’s current page identifies the art edition as a 30ml EDP, and its current mini listing identifies a 5ml Eau de Parfum purse spray. The main page URL contains an old 15ml slug, but the H1, product category and SKU description identify the 30ml edition. The perfume is unisex in the community record and official page tags. The modest number of directly attributable wearer accounts limits confidence in claims about typical performance or audience.
